PROJECT SUPPORT ENGINEER- Engine


Short Description

This job holder is responsible for Project planning and schedule preparation of all Engine projects by taking inputs from CoC leads and section heads.

He / She has to:

  • coordinate for the Engine project review meetings with Head – EDD and Section heads
  • Identify critical path for the projects and track the major milestones
  • Monitor and update resource planning for Engine team
  • Support testing teams for planning and optimization of Engine Testing schedules
  • Update VA-VE dashboard and present project wise status to section heads on weekly basis
  • Support SME for VA-VE workshops

Communicate to MLH and PMO on projects

Key Responsibilities

Keeps all the Engine project schedules updated with latest information.

Multi sourcing planning for BS-VI projects

VA-VE dashboard management

De-bottleneck the testing facilities & optimize the design load by adjusting critcial path

Coordinate the weekly review meetings with CoC head & sections, minutes the discussions & follow up for conclusions

 

Key Challenges:

1. Amicable interaction with mutiple agencies to keep the schedules updated

2. High number of project tracking at the same time

3. Resource planning of complete EDD team with monthly forecast to Head-EDD.

 

Skills Information

  • Project Management experience in automotive industry
  • Motivated

  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong sense of achievement and ownership
  • Planning, organization and a strong follow up capability
  • Good knowledge of software’s like MS-Project, MS-Office, Team Center schedule Manager, including resource and management loading, SAP
 
BTECH/Desired- BTech +MBA
5-8 yrs of project management experience in 2 wheeler industry
Project management of Engine projects
Expert understanding MS projects
PMP trained
Functional knowledge of MS office packages
